A cybersecurity consultancy, MDR provider, or incident-response team may be best positioned to contain an incident, analyze endpoint or network telemetry, and operate the organization’s defensive controls. Jonathan’s narrower role is useful when external infrastructure, identities, domains, providers, and follow-on administrative or legal action become part of the problem.

He can work from the technical findings produced by internal teams or outside providers, extend the infrastructure and attribution investigation where appropriate, preserve and organize evidence, and connect those findings to registrar or provider escalation, domain proceedings, legal process, or referral preparation.
