Threat-intel-backed investigation and domain takeover proceedings

Decades of experience spanning internationally recognized law firms, in-house legal teams, and elite cyber threat-intelligence teams.

I bring that experience together to investigate and disrupt malicious infrastructure, use legal process to pursue attribution, and where appropriate, make criminal referrals aimed at stopping threat actors from targeting or retargeting your organization.

Let’s explore together what makes practical sense for your organization.

How long does a UDRP take?

If a domain is actively being used for phishing, fraud, credential theft, or other malicious activity, separate registrar, registry, host, or platform abuse channels can sometimes be pursued in parallel with the UDRP to seek suspension, lockdown, or other interim disruption. Availability depends on the evidence and the provider’s rules.

A standard UDRP is generally measured in weeks. At WIPO, the respondent ordinarily has 20 days from commencement to submit a response and may request an automatic four-day extension. WIPO describes a standard uncomplicated case as normally taking about two months from receipt of the complaint. Implementation of a transfer or cancellation is generally subject to a 10-business-day waiting period after the decision.

WIPO also introduced an expedited service in 2026 for eligible cases, with a stated target of decision notification within 30 calendar days from filing. That is a separate priority service, not the baseline timetable for every UDRP.
