Threat-intel-backed investigation and domain takeover proceedings

Decades of experience spanning internationally recognized law firms, in-house legal teams, and elite cyber threat-intelligence teams.

I bring that experience together to investigate and disrupt malicious infrastructure, use legal process to pursue attribution, and where appropriate, make criminal referrals aimed at stopping threat actors from targeting or retargeting your organization.

Let’s explore together what makes practical sense for your organization.

How can a brand-abuse investigation go beyond a single domain?

A brand-abuse investigation can treat the visible domain, site, message, fake app, impersonation, or fraudulent offer as an investigative starting point rather than the boundary of the problem. The useful question is whether apparently separate abuse shares infrastructure, identities, operational fingerprints, or providers.

The investigation can correlate registration and DNS history, hosting and mail infrastructure, redirects, site resources, analytics or affiliate identifiers, reused contact artifacts, timing, public records, and other evidence. That can help distinguish a one-off abuse report from a coordinated pattern that may justify broader provider escalation, administrative proceedings, legal process, or another enforcement path.

Jonathan’s prior work spans anti-phishing, online fraud and brand abuse, external-threat investigations, malicious-domain attribution, and domain proceedings. The point is not to turn every brand issue into a large investigation; it is to recognize when the available evidence suggests that the visible abuse is part of something larger.
